Description

The Loder collection of taxidermy was formed by Edmund Giles Loder. He amassed all of the largest specimens of big game he could find forming a huge collection of hunting trophies from the 19th century. Sadly, when he died in 1920 his collection was sold off privately and most has either been lost or destroyed. Very few pieces from his collection have survived nor do they still bear his label that accompanied items from his collection. This particular head is by Gerrard’s making it late 19th century and is complete with Loder collection label.
